Hi

You know, for being out of classes this week sure has been busy.

 

It's been filled with Heather Ross orders, swaps, giveaway packages, and sewing in between.

I am slowly working on re-painting the vintage nightstand and found these beautiful crystal knobs to put on the drawer.

Hopefully it will be done this weekend and I can post a photo.

Anyway off to dig up something for a giveaway item. I got trapped in Flickr instead of preparing for my tea party today. I have joined a designer swap group which I am so excited over. I love swapping but with this group you can get what you're actually looking for.This is something new that may lure me into my Flickr addiction again. I have spent all evening digging around in my fabric bins and I am thinking of dragging my fabric in storage back home too.

Happy New Years Eve

I am so glad to be back. I love some aspects of going back to my hometown but there are many I don't. It's great seeing family again and being in the sunshine. However, on holidays such as Christmas that means all my old friends are in town as well which sadly I am not all that happy about seeing. I know it sounds weird but I feel like I am being judged every time I get together with anyone from that time of my life and hate it. So I gladly come back up to my little mountain home where no one knows me or how I used to be and it's such a relief.
I came home Sunday night and of course had work Monday morning. I was supposed to work today but the wind has been so crazy it knocked out a power line and we lost power for so long we all got to go home. I was thrilled because I could now hook up my coffee maker I got for Christmas.



Seriously this is the best coffee maker ever. You just pick what type of coffee, tea, hot chocolate, you want in those little cups and it brews the perfect cup for you. No mess or cleaning. :)
To make the moment even sweeter I broke out my Martha Stewart kitchen ware I got last week at Macy's and washed them so I could use them with my little Keurig.



Since tomorrow is a holiday and I have the day off work I need to figure out what I am going to sew. I want to start my coin quilt but not sure if I will have the patience to do it with the kids running around. Maybe I'll just do a pincushion or something.....
