MOO Promo Business Cards

YAY!

My MOO business cards have finally arrived. They were the free promo ones so there is an advertisement bar on the bottom of each card.

I am really glad MOO offered these to people though so I can try out different photos to see which ones work best before placing a regular order.

The photos of past & present blog banners are my favorites.

The only card featuring people I really liked was the one with my brother in it. The kids were moving around too much so their photos were not that great to begin with. I will probably be sticking these in swap and giveaway packages and order some without the MOO ad when I reopen my shop.

I am off to a party tonight that's an hour away but hopefully tomorrow I can get something creative done. Trish (no blog) sent me a really great package including an adorable Japanese craft book for childrens bags so I'll try and take some photos of that too sometime soon.

Hope everyone has a good weekend. Typepad people are still working on my comments being sent to my email so if you need a response to something urgent you can email me.
Oh and I'll be doing a scrap bag giveaway in a week or two. If you can use small pieces of fabric for patchwork or decoupage please come back in a couple weeks and enter.

Artful Blogging & Mock Studio

Greetings from Amazing Savings store. Yes here I am sitting in the parking lot sponging off of their internet again. It's sort of embarrassing but it will have to do until I get to go back home to mine. Anyway here is the newest Artful Blogging along with a couple fat quarter bundles of Lizzy Dish and...hmm...I actually can't remember what the name of that forest print is....it's in a post somewhere buried in this blog.

Moving on, here is some more delicious fabric I have in my possession.



I am in love with the colors of them. So many wonderful prints coming out lately.

Here is my sewing "space" I have been working in these past couple weeks.



Very cramped but at least I have been able to produce a few small projects such as some pouches
made from My Folklore fabric.



Anyway I miss everyone and hopefully I can get back to blog reading in a few more days. Until then I have blogs in my magazine to enjoy since I am internet deprived.  :)


 

New Ribbons & Rolling Cart

I love these. Not sure quite where they came from since they were a gift but I cannot wait to use them on some upcoming projects. I think that really light blue one with the mushrooms is my favorite of the lot. The pink owls though are a close second.
 I also got this rolling cart that was my grandmothers for some fabric storage. I spent the morning sorting out what prints will go in it and think it will work out great. The top rack is shallow and perfect for all my charm packs and scraps.

I heart Moda.  :)


Don't mind that corner on the right in this next picture. I am still in the midst of folding and putting all that away.



That pretty much wraps up today. We have a Halloween party coming up I'll post pics of and then I will probably take a small break from online activities like my blog, flickr, and all the other websites I mosey around. It will only be for a week or two though as I am having some issues here at home.

I am going to have to place an order for some Japanese craft books soon to perk me up.


Edit: I finally got my mom to tell me where she found the cute ribbon and it was from here for those who want to know.  :)

Fabric Organizing

This stack will be my only fabric to work with until I run out of it.

 That's my plan anyway. Of course it's not including lining to bags and zip pouches but I really need to start using some of these pieces instead of them piling up. JB sent me a whole bunch of new prints and I am in a panic because it looks like a bomb went off now in the room. There are fabric pieces everywhere. I am hoping to finish the patchwork potholder tonight and then I need to get working on the cookie party bags because they need to get out in the mail before this persons party. Have you ever been to a cookie party? I went to a few when I lived in Florida. You usually make 3 dozen cookies and put each dozen in a cute little container for an exchange. Each guest ends up with 3 different batches of cookies in a different container. I wasn't sewing when I attended these, but was beading. So I would just buy some lame container or bag but add some charms and then usually a bracelet for the recipient. This time though I have been commissioned to sew up some cute little pouches. I was thinking those patchwork drawstring ones I keep seeing everywhere but I am not sure if I have enough Christmas prints that go together for three bags. So I will probably just do some regular ole' drawstring bags. I need to get back to that potholder though. I hope it turns out cute since I keep getting interrupted.

Tomorrow's project : Making a bento lunch for work Monday....I know it's scary..I am better fit at the sewing machine than the oven.
