Farm Girl Fridays Week 4

Yes, I've succumbed to another quilt a long..you know because I barely can keep up with the 2 I'm already in...
You may ask yourself if you follow me here what happened to the first 3 weeks?
Well, I'm starting on week 4, and I'm lucky I even got to start since the fabric line I wanted to use isn't out until August.
Oh so wonderful April was kind enough to send me some Meadowbloom to get me through some blocks though so here I am!
Isn't it beautiful????
I have some jelly rolls and fat quarter bundles on order which I'll put in the shop in August when they arrive.

I do plan to go back and do the past blocks sometime it's just easier to stay motivated when I'm on the same blocks as everyone else. :)

I highly recommend the Farm Girl Vintage book these blocks are fun!

Just when I think Natural History can't be topped The Lovely Hunt images are released and I think it's an equally awesome line...maybe a little more but I'm partial to unicorns.

I loved sewing crosswalk!
I used an Alison Glass Mercury fabric and the bunny print from Rashida's Mochi line was PERFECT for it.

The only thing I noticed I need is some starch. I'm not sure what this is so wrinkly?
This is probably my second favorite block I've made so far though.

Is anyone else sewing blocks from Patchwork City? I've been taking a little break from Instagram and would love to see some out in blogland. :)

Block 2!

My favorite part about this quilt is getting to use all different types of fabric in each block. I get to dig in my scrap bins for my favorite prints and use various manufacturers in one quilt. I'll be honest I'm usually a precut quilter or buy a fat quarter bundle of a line and just use that.

My Patchwork City quilt is based on color scheme though so instead of me picking a fabric line I'm digging through my stash for any prints that fit in my color range.


I've got Art Gallery Fabrics, Cotton and Steel, Moda, Andover, and a little piece of Emma's outgrown baby dress (the zebra) in this one.

I also did a test Donut Shop block and think I'll keep it. Now that I'm a few blocks in I can substitute it for a block that didn't turn out that great. You'll see that block in a few more posts if you're not on Instagram.

Tomorrow I'll post block 3 and I'm hoping to get a block posted each day until Wednesday (giveaway day).

So I've signed up for a lot of quilt a longs and am really hoping I can keep up with them all. I'm in a quilt bee too this year.

Am I the only one who thinks I can do all this?
