Hi Everyone!
It's my stop on the Succulence Blog Tour today.
First of all thank you Bonnie for letting me take part in this. I always love doing these. :)
Art Gallery Fabrics are always so soft and I love sewing on them.
I used mostly prints from the Succulence "Light of Day" palette
I love the saturated but soft/earthy tones with a little bit of sparkle from the metallic cacti print
The other palette Early Winter is just as beautiful.
It was very hard to choose which prints I wanted to use in my project and luckily I had a half yard of the terrarium print already so I could make a little quilt.
My project was a baby quilt which unfortunately I didn't get quilted in time but the top is complete.
The quilt is made entirely half square triangles and squares which meant a lot of chain piecing but a pretty quick quilt top.
It's a real simple design but I'll do a post/tutorial of sorts once I get it quilted. :)
My quilt holding assistants were my small children so please excuse the lopsided pictures. It didn't help that it was so windy when I was taking the photos either.
I used a print from Katarina's Wonderland collection for the background (I have a weird thing with plain backgrounds),
and AGF Pure Elements in Festival Fuchsia and Mirage Blue.
I cannot wait to get this quilted!!
Thank you so much for stopping by!
Here is the rest of the schedule. Please visit everyone the projects are wonderful!

I am the same. I do not like using plain backgrounds. I like the effect of adding a little texture/depth to the background :)
